Brief/Challenge
The challenge was to design an exterior for the world's first 3D DNA sequencer that reflects its groundbreaking technology while accommodating the practical needs of ongoing development. The design needed to appeal to early-access clients and investors, keep production costs low, and allow easy access for rapid iteration and upgrades by the engineering team.

Solution
The resulting design features a folded aluminum chassis with a modular approach, allowing the engineering team to quickly access internal components. The exterior presents a high-tech aesthetic suitable for presentations and demos, subtly communicating that this is high-performance hardware still in development. The design balances form and function, providing a robust platform for Single Technologies' innovative 3D sequencing technology.
